The ESF Council shapes the ideology and draws up the program of the annual Forum on Energy Security for the Future (ESF).

The goal of ESF is to unite statesmen, politicians, leading experts, businessmen, journalists and civil society leaders around the idea of energy security, renewable energy sources and efficient technologies for the better future. The ESF theme in 2018 will be devoted to interaction and synergy of global responsibility, business opportunities and introduction of the newest technologies in the field of energy security.

Mr Pozharskyi became the Head of the Organizing Committee since the founding of ESF.

He has extensive experience in both public and private sector, strategic collaboration with international organizations, governmental bodies and public institutions. He consulted the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on the issues of international cooperation and European politics.

Mr Pozharskyi facilitated the work of the Mission of the European Parliament in Ukraine, headed by former President of the European Parliament Pat Cox (2002-2004) and former President of Poland Aleksander Kwasniewski (1995-2005).

In 2014, Mr Pozharskyi retired from public service to join the United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP) in the capacity of consultant. He also served as national coordinator for a United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) project in Ukraine.
