Ireneusz Bil, PhD is the current Director of the Aleksander Kwaśniewski Foundation Amicus Europae. The Foundation is active in the area of foreign policy and security, focusing on the Eastern Neighborhood of the European Union.
Serves also as Secretary General of the European Council on Tolerance and Reconciliation, an NGO based in Brussels. Prior to holding these positions, he worked as Director of the Office of International Affairs of the Presidential Chancellery from 2004-2006 and as an expert on the National Security Bureau from1997-2004. Graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics (WSE) and the National Security Studies Program at the Warsaw University, he received his doctoral degree researching energy supply security at the WSE. His interests include energy policy, international security, military&defence issues.
